Their passion for this craft was first ignited when Mark heard mycologist Paul Stamets talk about some of the research with fungi and dementia.
As anyone who has had a family member with dementia would agree, knowing of the possibility it could happen to them is always in the back of their mind. So when he researched more and shared what he found with his husband, Denys. He knew that with Denys’ background in engineering/business combined with Mark's passion for helping people, that they could create something truly special.

Our goal so far has been to provide high quality, small batch, locally grown mushrooms - and it has been a pleasure sharing such natural benefits! But don’t the fungi themselves suggest a more expansive path?
Returning to Thompson, he continues,“Let’s assume that you think you have a choice of eight paths to follow (all pre-defined paths, of course). And let’s assume that you can’t see any real purpose in any of the eight. Then, you must find a Ninth Path.”

The 🍄 Lineup:
- Reishi: The chill pill of mushrooms. Reishi whispers, “Relax, everything's going to be okay” as we find it boosts our immune system and helps us sleep like a baby. We love it in a hot chocolate before bed.
- Chaga: The rugged protector. Chaga’s like Bear Grylls—packed with antioxidants, anti-inflammatory powers, and a dash of wild spirit.
- Lion’s Mane: The brainiac, and our personal favourite. We find that Lion’s Mane helps sharpen our brain, enhances our memory, and makes us feel as clever as a kookaburra.
- Cordyceps: The endurance fungi. Cordyceps fuels our inner athlete and boosts energy. A lot of cordyceps is grown with animal products, but Ninth Path have sourced an incredible wild-harvested Siberian cordyceps that is completely vegan & cruelty free.
- Turkey Tail: The immune system cheerleader. Turkey Tail waves pom-poms, fights off invaders, and keeps us feeling top-notch all year round.
